The Case of the Losing Wife

In 1984 Husband and Wife signed a written agreement in a divorce case (contract) which was approved by the court and made an ORDER. Husband has not complied.

Issues:

Husband and Wife agreed in writing (contract) approved by the Court and made an ORDER of the Court.

One provision makes the Wife beneficiary of $125,000 in a particular life insurance policy. In this contract-court ORDER, Husband promises to "notify the policy agents of this beneficiary arrangement (contract and court ORDER)" but has not done so. What can The Losing Wife do??????

Also, the Court ORDERED the Husband to pay "$25,572.77 as of February 1, 1987 with interest thereon at the statutory rate of eight percent (8%) from that date to the date of this order and subsequently until paid."

Any accountants, financial planners, etc. who can provide us with calculations - $25,572.77 from February 1, 1987 at 8% interest to August 9, 1999? Thus, what is the dollar amount Husband owes INCLUDING the interest for 12 years??????
